Victorian households may be able to combine several incentives when replacing an existing hot-water system with an approved heat-pump hot-water system.
The Victorian Energy Upgrades discount requires an existing hot-water system in a house or building that is at least two years old. The new system must be an approved product with a minimum five-year warranty. Each household can upgrade up to two hot-water systems through this program.
Eligible households may also receive a separate Solar Victoria rebate of up to $1,000, or up to $1,400 when choosing an eligible locally made product. Additional household, property and existing-system eligibility requirements apply.
Approved heat-pump systems may also attract Small-scale Technology Certificates, providing a further upfront discount. The total saving can therefore be made up of Victorian Energy Upgrades, Solar Victoria and STC incentives.
Expanding Heating & Cooling can help identify the available discounts and clearly show them in your quotation. While these incentives can provide significant savings, our priority remains choosing a quality system that delivers reliable hot water and long-term performance.
